Wikipedia's take on the upcoming Blackberry Niagara:

 

The BlackBerry Niagara is a mobile phone developed by Research In Motion and is part of the 9600 series of phones.[1] [2] The Niagara is slated to be an EVDO rev.A variant for CDMA networks. A sister device is also in the works and is named the Curve 8900, formerly codenamed BlackBerry Javelin, it is a lower-end GSM model with an EDGE (2.5G) radio. [3]The expected release date for Verizon Wireless is May 2009 [4]

 

Specifications

The BlackBerry Niagara has the following features:

  • 3.2 Mega Pixel camera with flash
  • aGPS - internal assisted GPS with extended ephemeris, BB Maps is standard
  • MP3/WMA/AAC+ media player
  • DivX/WMV/XviD/3gp video player
  • Bluetooth v2.0, Bluetooth Stereo Audio via A2DP and AVCRP
  • Browser - HTML browsing, View Movies/Clips from websites built for mobile streaming, RSS feed support

The Niagara will be the next big Blackberry to launch on the Telus Mobility Network after the Pearl Flip.
